About Us

Our Mission

The people who support Las Huellas and those that donate their time and resources to our mission share a passion for the outdoors.

We see a gradual erosion of priority to our natural resources in South Texas and wanted to create a program that would not only have an immediate impact on the support and promotion of our outdoor space, but would also foster the passion and priority of generations to come.

Conservation-Focused Youth Education Events

Through conservation-focused youth education events, we aim to instill a sense of appreciation for the natural world in young people.

By providing hands-on opportunities for exploration and learning, we hope to cultivate an appreciation for the environment that will last a lifetime.

Whether it’s taking students on nature hikes or working with conservation organizations to improve local access for youth in the outdoors, our goal is to promote conservation and support of the natural resources that make South Texas such a unique and magical place.

With your help, we can ensure that future generations will have access to the beauty and wonder of our natural world, and be inspired to care for it long into the future.

The Natural Resources of South Texas

South Texas is a vibrant and diverse ecosystem, home to an abundance of natural resources that are essential to both conservation and the support of local communities.

As stewards of these precious resources, it is our mission to provide youth with quality outdoor education experiences that foster appreciation for the natural world and cultivate a deeper understanding of conservation practices.

Whether exploring the seashores of South Padre Island, the unique estuary of the Bahia Mar, or our rich ranchland and it’s pristine ecosystem, we strive to provide the next generation with access to these resources and a continued interest in protecting what we have.

The Importance of Conservation

Whether you are a conservationist, outdoor enthusiast, or simply someone who cares about the future of our planet, we invite you to join us in this mission and help us protect and support South Texas’ natural resources for generations to come.

Your support is crucial to the success of our efforts to promote conservation and protect the natural resources that make South Texas such a unique and special place.

Our Invitation to You

Whether you are a conservationist, outdoor enthusiast, or simply someone who cares about the future of our planet, we invite you to join us in this mission and help us protect and support South Texas’ natural resources for generations to come. Thank you for your support!”
